We would like to say a huge congratulations to the Pop Chorus choir, whose charity release 'Always' is already storming up the bestseller list on Amazon.
One of our colleagues is a member of the Pop Chorus choir, who have released a charity single in support of the St Elizabeth Hospice. The hospice, which serves patients with progressive and terminal illnesses, relies largely on donations in order to be able to continue offering its services, which are a lifeline not only to the patients it supports,
but also to their families and loved ones.
The song 'Always' was written in collaboration with patients, who spoke about what the hospice meant to them. These words then helped to create the beautiful, uplifting pop song that Pop Chorus produced with Suffolk-based producers Ian Curnow and Phil Harding, and recorded and Diss Corn hall. It was released on Friday 17th November, and has already reached an incredible sixth place on the Amazon.co.uk Best Sellers list in the Songs category, beating the likes of Eminem, P!nk and Avicii.
Pop Chorus have been a proud community partner of the St Elizabeth Hospice, and in July the choir were thrilled to present a £5000 cheque to the Hospice's Chied Executive, Mark Millar, from the proceeds of their sell-out concert at the Ipswich Corn Exchange.
“We’re thrilled to be recording such a beautiful song with such experienced producers.” said Yula, professional musician and vocal coach, and founder of the Pop Chorus choir. “It was very inspiring to hear from the patients what the Hospice means to them, so we’re humbled to use our singing to help raise awareness and money for this vital local charity.”
‘Always’ will be available to download or stream from iTunes, Amazon and Spotify with profits going to the charity, or together with other tracks on a limited-edition EP available from the choir, again with a percentage going to the charity.
